The rally, staged by All Under One Banner and Yes Cymru during May, saw an estimated seven thousand people, march through the streets of Wales' second city before hearing addresses at a rally calling for Wales to gain full national status as an independent country.
The march and rally, the first since the Covid pandemic, was fully supported by Plaid's Swansea and Gower organisation, and attracted a larger than expected number of supporters.
Polling has shown that support for an independent Wales is increasing, with one tracker poll showing 36 per cent in favour of self-rule, compared with only 5 per cent less than ten years ago.
The success of the rally will provide impetus for Plaid Cymru ahead of expected elections for the Westminster parliament and Senedd Cymru, with the party now beginning the process of adopting candidates for local constituencies, whose boundaries have nearly all undergone substantial revision by the Boundary Commission for Wales.

Rali'n Rhoi Hwb i'r Blaid
Denodd y rali a drefnwyd gan Bawb Dan yr Un Faner a Yes Cymru yn ystod Mis Mai dorf o ryw saith mil o bobl a orymdeithiodd drwy strydoedd ail ddinas Cymru cyn clywed areithiau'n galw am statws cenedlaethol cyflawn fel gwlad annibynnol.
Dyma'r orymdaith a rali annibyniaeth gyntaf ers y pandemig Covid, ac fe gafodd ei chefnogi’n gryf gan ganghennau'r Blaid yn Abertawe a Gŵyr gan ddenu llawer mwy o dorf nag a ddisgwylid.
Mae polau piniwn diweddar yn dangos bod cefnogaeth dros annibyniaeth ar gynnydd unwaith yn rhagor, gydag un arolwg yn dangos 36 y cant o blaid hunanlywodraeth gyflawn, wrth gymharu â 5 y cant yn unig lai na deng mlynedd yn ôl.
Bydd llwyddiant y rali'n rhoi hwb i Blaid Cymru cyn yr etholiadau a ddaw ar gyfer San Steffan a Senedd Cymru, gyda'r Blaid erbyn hyn yn dechrau'r broses o ddewis ymgeiswyr ar gyfer yr etholaethau lleol, sydd bron i gyd â'u ffiniau wedi newid yn sylweddol gan Gomisiwn Ffiniau Cymru.
Swansea only got one out of 4 bids from the UK government levelling up fund.
By now, we know that Westminster's Levelling Up programme has nothing to do with need or poverty, as two thirds of the successful bids were from wealthy Tory held Constituencies.
The decision to leave the European Union is causing serious damage to our local economy.
Swansea Plaid Cymru has stated there is irrefutable evidence that the decision to leave the European Union is causing serious damage to our local economy. Professor Paul Boyce, the vice-chancellor of Swansea University, appears to agree with our assessment.
Mae'r penderfyniad i adael yr Undeb Ewropeaidd yn achosi niwed difrifol i'n heconomi leol.
Mae Plaid Cymru Abertawe wedi datgan bod tystiolaeth ddigamsyniol bod y penderfyniad i adael yr Undeb Ewropeaidd yn achosi niwed difrifol i'n heconomi leol. Ymddengys bod yr Athro Paul Boyce, is-ganghellor Prifysgol Abertawe, yn cytuno â'n hasesiad.
The Co-operation Agreement Government in Wales has delivered the introduction of universal free school meals for primary school children, radical action to address second homes and the housing crisis, protecting the interests of farmers, the introduction of free childcare for two year olds and agreeing a way forward on Senedd Reform to strengthen democracy and expand our Senedd.
